Taking Control of Coding Agents with OpenCode and OpenSpec

Room 5Tue 12 May • 13:15–14:15AI & AgentsIntermediate
While GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor are fighting for your workflow, a new player has entered the field. OpenCode is open source, model agnostic, and gives you back control. No subscription. No vendor. Your model, your tools, your rules. In this session we look at OpenCode and how to get your agent writing production ready code while you stay in charge of the decisions. We cover how to work with OpenCode in your developer workflow, and then go deeper with spec-driven development using OpenSpec, where your intent lives in the repo and your agent has everything it needs to deliver. You will leave with a concrete workflow that keeps you in control: specs that guide your agent, a design that captures your intent, and a pipeline that builds from one to the other towards production ready code
